Prophets are styled as watchmen/guards. A post is a particular place were a guard is told to be for military duty. God has set and ordained every prophet to a church (1 Cor 12:28). He gives all of us gifts and talents and we are called to use them to glorify Him.
I ran into a saint who I once knew was mightily used by God and was faithful in church ministry. I asked her which church she was attending, and she mentioned she was not going to church but staying at home.
I was shocked and surprised, because I knew her history as being faithful and committed. I encouraged her to get back into church and to use the talents and gifts God had given her. I told her she had too much anointing upon her to be at home. I told her the Church needed her and I needed her to survive.
My question is, are you on your post? Are you doing what God wants you to do? God has ordained and set you to be a viable member of the church. Have you lost your commitment and faithfulness? Have you gotten sidetracked or discouraged? Have you been hurt? Are you fed up and angry with the Church?
I encourage you first, REPENT and FORGIVE! Get your eyes back on Jesus. Prophets are called to “shamar” protect and defend their assigned territory. It’s time to get back on your post, don’t leave your post unmanned! We’ve got work to do. God has people He has assigned just to us. Get back on post, someone’s survival depends on it!
